The electronic identification with RFID Technology is fast and the most secure technology available for animals up to now. Even in the harsh environment of the livestock business this technology works very reliable for many years. With permanent innovations AGRIDENT has brought the RF/ID Technology for animal identification into a new dimension of reliability and cost/benefit ratio.

The electronic identification of animals is based on RF/ID (Radio Frequency / IDentification) technology. At RFID the information (the unique ID Code) is transferred wireless with Radio frequencies between a transponder (ear tag, bolus or injectible) and a reader. The wireless data transfer is faster and more reliable than other means of identification as visual ear tags, barcodes, brands or tattoos. This is especially the case under the harsh environmental conditions of the livestock business.

For the electronic identification of animals is a worldwide standard ISO 11785/11784 which works with RFID 134.2 kHz tags and readers with. All Agrident readers are compliant with these ISO standards.
